2. What Data We Process
Pawanjo stores the pet data you enter locally on your device by default. Specifically, we process:
- Pet data: name, species, breed, date of birth, as well as vaccination, medication, diagnosis, and weight records you enter yourself.
- Photos & documents: images and PDFs you add via the camera or your photo library (e.g. vaccination card scans, invoices).
- Account data: if you register an account, your name and email address.
- Push notifications: a device token, used to remind you about vaccinations, medications, and appointments.
- Purchase data: when you buy additional pet slots, our payment provider RevenueCat processes purchase receipts and device identifiers (see Section 4).
3. Purpose of Processing
We process this data solely to provide the app's core functionality: managing your pet's health records, sending reminders, and — if you register an account — syncing your data across devices.
4. Third-Party Services We Use
- RevenueCat (in-app purchases): processes purchase receipts and pseudonymous device identifiers to unlock additional pet slots. RevenueCat's Privacy Policy
- Google AdMob (ad banners): processes advertising identifiers to display ads. On iOS we ask for your consent via App Tracking Transparency; in the EU we additionally collect your consent through a consent form (Google User Messaging Platform). Google's Privacy Policy
- Amazon Associates (recommendations in the shop section): product links in the "Recommendations" section take you to Amazon. We don't receive any data about your behavior on Amazon — once you leave the app, Amazon's own privacy policy applies.
We currently do not use any analytics or tracking tools to evaluate usage within the app.
5. Contact Form and Feedback
When you write to us through the contact form on this website or the feedback form in the app, we process your message and your email address. In the app, the email address is optional. We use this information only to answer your request and delete it once the request has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
To send these messages we use EmailJS (EmailJS Pte. Ltd., Singapore). EmailJS delivers your message to our mailbox at Google (Gmail) and also processes your IP address in doing so. Singapore is outside the EU. According to EmailJS, transfers are safeguarded by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. EmailJS's Privacy Policy
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in answering requests). If your request concerns your use of the app, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
6. This Website
To make the contact form work, your browser loads a script from jsDelivr, a content delivery network operated by Volentio JSD Limited, England, when you open the home page. jsDelivr receives your IP address and stores access data such as IP address, requested file, time and browser identifier to prevent abuse and to compile usage statistics. jsDelivr does not set cookies. The fonts on this website are hosted on our own server, so no data is sent to Google Fonts or any other provider for them. The website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking tools.
7. Storage Location and Duration
Pet data remains on your device by default until you delete it or uninstall the app. If you create an account, data is additionally stored on our servers until you delete your account or request deletion.
8. Your Rights
Under the GDPR, you have in particular the following rights:
- Access to the data we hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Correction of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Deletion of your data (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
